Women in Governance Project

Women remain disproportionately disadvantaged in Sierra Leone. For example, Kailahun District has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, the majority of girls do not finish secondary school, and over 65 percent of women are illiterate. This situation translates into limited representation of women in politics.

Growing Entrepreneurs to Alleviate Rural Poverty Project

Growing Entrepreneurs to Alleviate Rural Poverty is a two- year pilot project funded by ICCO of the Netherlands to promote business development of small scale entrepreneurs. It is intended to strengthen the rice value chain component of the Kailahun Livelihood Security Development Program of SEND-SIERRA LEONE.
